LCDS was founded in 1971 by a group of parents who sought an alternative to public school education. 

 

To this day we still have a parent led Board of Directors made up of dedicated volunteers and invested parents.

The Board works closely with the Executive Director and works to advance the mission of the School.  Elected annually, the Board is responsible for the activities, properties and affairs of the School.  They are committed to excellence in upholding the values and integrity of the School and its Administration, teachers, staff and families, and we are grateful for their dedication and commitment in ensuring we remain a premier program in early childhood education.
